 The Warren G. Magnuson Educational Support Professional (ESP) Scholarship is designed to assist WEA ESP employees (active members) in their pursuit of certification in the teaching profession.  Three scholarship grants of $1,000 each are available.  One of the three grants is designated for a minority ESP member.

Criteria 
1.         Three scholarship grants of $1,000 each are available to active WEA ESP members. 
2.         The grants will be awarded only once per person. 
3.         The educational scholarship is for course work related to obtaining an initial teaching certificate. 
4.                  Applicants for an education grant must include a plan for obtaining an initial certificate and a letter describing their passion to become a teacher. 
5.         Applicants must provide evidence of activities and/or leadership in the Association. 
6.                 Applicants must submit three to five letters of reference indicating success as an educational employee, i.e., work, training, volunteerism and/or community services.  One letter of reference must come from a local leader such as a building representative, president, vice president, etc. 
7.         Please attach a copy of your active WEA ESP membership card. 
8.         WEA will forward the scholarship grant funds in the name of the applicant to the college/university of his/her choice.
