Dear SAEOP Members:

I would like to extend an invitation for you to attend our next general SAEOP Membership meeting on April 16, 2009, at Roosevelt High School.  The times are 5 to 7 p.m., light refreshments will be served, and we will have an extensive agenda.  A lot has happened since our last general membership meeting meeting and I would like to inform you of those changes:

    o  Bylaw Revisions - We will be voting on the Bylaw Revisions posted on the SAEOP website. www.saeop.org.  Olga Addae will be at the meeting to answer questions regarding the charge of SEA/SAEOP Bylaws alignment and how SEA and SAEOP bylaws differ.

    o  Doris Lyon from WEA will be present to speak on Job Classification Systems.  Recently, Chris Helsell, Vivian Belcher, and myself from SAEOP attended a joint SEA/SSD Job Classification workshop and we would like to take this opportunity to report back to you on what we learned and did that day.

    o  We will have begun bargaining with the school district so there will be a briefing on the process and where we are at.  As additional information is forthcoming, i.e., staffing, budget, professional development opportunities, etc., we will update you on that as well.
